Morgan was one of the actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention as well as education. A portion of the profits were donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan serves as a participant of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force in many fundraising campaigns to fight this disease. Morgan also gave a speech to the Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her several times to assume his place at AIDS events. She also hosted an AIDS Awareness Special with news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice on Nightline on AIDS. Morgan has won the Emmy Award for Diane English's exclusive Murphy Brown episode that was written just for Morgan. The spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers on ABC's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner and also starred Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the lead in a psychological thriller which was produced exclusively through the USA Network. It received the top rating recorded in network history.
