Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized for her high-quality performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her, among them an Oscar. Her acting career began with Broadway with a variety of Broadway and Off Broadway initiatives. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth year production. As a result of having Mumps, she was blind on the other side of her ear. However, this did not stop her ambition to become an actor. The college she attended was drama, and then moved to Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her goals. Hunter made her Broadway debut due to a chance meeting in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. After moving into Los Angeles, Hunter tried to land films to play. A supporting role was secured for her in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a number of television series, films and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also her Women in Film Lucy Award.
