Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her exceptional performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. Her film Piano was awarded an Oscar. She started her career as an actor on Broadway and Off Broadway. From the time she was a child, she has been passionate about acting. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade student in a school production. After suffering from the mumps, she went deaf on one side of her ear. This did not stop her ambition to pursue a career as an actress. The college she attended was drama, and then moved to Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her dreams. She met Beth Henley in an elevator and they worked together to make Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. Hunter moved into Los Angeles and tried to land films parts. The film, Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Since then she has appeared in numerous films and TV movies and series throughout a span of more than 30 years. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame famous person and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
